Preface Written in 2010, this Preface is the setup to the book. It includes some events leading to the adventure and the diary pages from a trip the preceding year.
Introduction The book was written in 1986 just after the adventure. This introduction is the original preface text.
Sunday - August 3, 1986 The Beginning: the adventurers are rounded up and dropped off in the wilderness.
Monday - August 4, 1986 First Day: the horses are finally packed and everyone is exploring the trail.
Tuesday - August 5, 1986 Runaway Horses: the day is spent trying to catch up to half of the horses.
Wednesday - August 6, 1986 Crossing Mt Adams: the weather and trail offer amazing views as the group travels across the mountain slope.
Thursday - August 7, 1986 Difficult Times: many obstacles set a somber mood, but the adventurers over came bucking horses, bad bridges, dust, dust, and more dust.
Friday - August 8, 1986 Reaching Goal: thrilling trails and personal fulfillment as the riders cross steep slopes of Cispus Pass.
Weekend - August 9 & 10, 1986 Soda Springs: the place that started it all two years before, the friends join others for just one more day of high country riding.
Where Are They Now This book was posted to the internet on 01/29/2010. Unsuccessful attempts have been made to find the riders and get their updates. Hopefully, all are well and will reply so that their response can be posted here.
