 The western
  side of the
Cispus Basin,
  the trail on
the right was
       older,
    probably
  abandoned.

   The only
    patch of
snow at the
same level as
   the riders,
 but it didn’t
    cool the
    air any.

  The trail in
    the west
basin was not
 as steep as
   the east
  basin, but
   was still
      scary.
