The day started out up hill and eventually leveled off to ramble over the slopes of
Mt. Adams. The trail wandered through a variety of mountain forests, alpine meadows,
and rocky slopes, all of which were covered with many different types of wild flowers
When the trail elevation was finally high enough to be out of the trees, the surrounding
views were gorgeous. Each corner or hill of the trail displayed a new spectacular view.
The sides of the mountain above the trail held several ice glaciers and the trail slopes
crossed many rocky stream beds and passed below several rock bluffs.
There was great
variety in the
landscape; there
was visible
evidence of harsh
weather.
The view around
every corner,
revealed some-
thing new and
spectacular.
